Our Impact
We make an impact every time we help a member of the Gemma community know they matter. Driven by our mission, we’re focused on expanding our programs and services to accompany even more people with individualized support – because nobody should have to face life’s challenges alone.
Some examples of the impact of our work accompanying youth and families during Fiscal Year 2024-2025 include:

Gemma accompanied 100 youth in residential
care along their healing journey. -
A teenager in the IBHS program reported they would have dropped out of school by now if it wasn’t for their clinician and the school-based groups he has been providing.

80% of Martin Luther School students advanced by at least 80% advanced by at least one grade level in reading (students arrive on average 2 grade levels behind).

Gemma completed 29 adoptions and permanent placements, helping children and teens find their forever families.

Gemma provided 19,730 individual and group therapy sessions.

91% of survey respondents said they felt they were a partner in their child’s services.

100% of respondents to the survey about their time with the Family Based MHS program reported feeling that they matter to their Gemma team.

Vision for Our Future
As the needs of our community evolve, so will Gemma. That’s why we developed an ambitious, yet achievable, strategic plan to guide our efforts. It’s the compass we use as we seek to grow our organization and deepen our impact on the lives of those we accompany.
As part of our goals, Gemma will:
- Increase the number of individuals we accompany by expanding existing community-based programs and exploring the expansion of the residential continuum of care, among other possible areas.
- Explore the expansion of Martin Luther School and the Plymouth Meeting campus as informed by a completed comprehensive facilities assessment.
- Create and expand individual, organizational, and governmental relationships to advocate for the voices and needs of our community.
- Identify and track key performance indicators across the organization to measure our impact and drive continuous improvement.
