The Campaign for Gemma Reaches Fundraising Milestone!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, with the Stratton Foundation leading the way with a $1 million donation, we have successfully reached our $3 million fundraising goal for the Campaign for Gemma! We couldn’t be more grateful for the trust, confidence, and partnership our donors have extended to Gemma to support our Martin Luther School expansion and relocation project.

This milestone represents far more than a number. It represents a community coming together to embrace the vision of an exceptional new Martin Luther School (MLS) campus, one that shows our MLS students how much they matter. It demonstrates an unwavering commitment to creating a best-in-class educational setting where our students are empowered to explore, learn, overcome adversity, and grow academically, socially, and emotionally to reach their fullest potential.

We’re thrilled to have reached this goal in record time! Your support has ensured that the new MLS campus will be a place that honors, nurtures, and respects our students, because they matter.

What the Campaign Makes Possible

The fundraising achieved to date supports the construction and renovation of 5200 Butler Pike in Plymouth Meeting, the future home of MLS. The transformation of this former corporate headquarters is remarkable. Please click here to see the classrooms and other spaces coming together. When the construction is complete, the school will include more than 30 spacious classrooms, private spaces for counseling, two lunchrooms, outdoor learning and recreation spaces, a black box theater, a library, a multi-purpose gymnasium, and more.

Looking ahead…. construction on the two-story addition that will house the gymnasium and electives classrooms will begin soon. Students, faculty, and staff will move into the new building in 2026, and we can’t wait to see our Panthers thrive in this exceptional new environment!

The Campaign Continues: Phase II

While we’ve reached our initial fundraising goal, the Campaign for Gemma is ongoing!

Phase II fundraising will build on the foundation we have established together to support a Martin Luther School campus that provides an educational and extracurricular experience that all students should have access to.

We continue to raise crucial funds for renovations underway and will now also include raise funds for a new outdoor sports facility that will include a track, multi-sport turf field, and stadium for our growing athletics program.

Sports and access to interscholastic competition have fueled our students’ sense of pride in themselves and in MLS. A dedicated sports facility will enhance that “Panther Pride” and provide opportunities for our current and future students to compete, grow, and excel.
